Volvo Cars, Vattenfall start testing wireless BEV charging tech
Volvo Cars, Vattenfall and partners are testing a new wireless charging technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The three-year test is part of the Gothenburg Green City Zone initiative, under which designated areas within the city are used as live testbeds for the development of sustainable technologies. A small fleet of all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge cars will be used as taxis by Cabonline for 12 hours per day, driving 100,000 kilometres per year, Kallanish reports.
