Volvo Cars sees 53% rise in EV sales in April
Volvo Cars says electric vehicle sales accounted for nearly half of all its car sales in April, after a 53% year-on-year increase, Kallanish reports.
The Swedish carmaker saw its EV sales, which include both all-electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, rise to 31,523 units globally in April. Of that, 17,090 units were BEVs and 14,433 units were PHEVs, representing annual increases of 94% and 22% respectively.
