Volkswagen to boost investments in renewables, starting in Sweden
Volkswagen is investing in the expansion of an onshore wind farm in northern Sweden, its largest renewable project to date, ahead of a planned €40 million ($43.32m) investment in clean power.
The carmaker said Wednesday it reached a deal with wind farm specialist wpd Onshore Aldermyrberget, under which its generation share amounts to 100 gigawatt-hours of electricity -- enough to power 27,000 households, Kallanish understands.
