Vistra Energy plans giant battery storage facility in California
A Texas-based energy company wants to build in central California what has been called the world’s largest utility-scale battery storage system, Kallanish reports.
Vistra Energy wants to build a 600 megawatt plant with lithium-ion batteries that would provide 2,400 megawatt-hours of battery storage, enough to power 450,000 homes.
