VinFast starts construction of Vietnam’s first EV battery facility
Vietnam’s electric vehicle start-up VinFast has started construction of a battery manufacturing facility in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, in the Vietnamese province of Ha Tinh.
The plant, the first of VinFast and Vietnam, has received around $173.7 million in funding, conglomerate Vingroup said in a statement seen by Kallanish. It will help create a supply chain that contributes to VinFast’s supply localisation, as the carmaker plans to expand globally.…
