United Airlines invests in, buys planes from electric aircraft producer
United Airlines could soon be flying the friendly skies with 100 new, small electric airplanes, Kallanish reports.
United plans to buy 100 19-seat ES-19 aircraft from Heart Aerospace via its venture capital wing United Airlines Ventures. It is also investing in the company, partnering in this with Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Mesa Air Group.
