UK’s gas-to-hydrogen project receives £72m funding

UK gas-to-hydrogen project HyNet North West bagged last week £72 million ($99.6m) in funding, which developers say will accelerate a final investment decision in 2023 for start-up in 2025. The project, located in the northwest of England and North Wales, will produce hydrogen from natural gas using carbon capture and storage technology at the Stanlow refinery.
