UK’s gas-to-hydrogen project receives £72m funding
UK gas-to-hydrogen project HyNet North West bagged last week £72 million ($99.6m) in funding, which developers say will accelerate a final investment decision in 2023 for start-up in 2025.
The project, located in the northwest of England and North Wales, will produce hydrogen from natural gas using carbon capture and storage technology at the Stanlow refinery. CO2 will be stored in the Liverpool Bay gas fields, and hydrogen will be transported and delivered…
