UK’s AceOn to develop sodium-ion storage unit

UK’s battery and energy storage firm AceOn has been awarded a £1 million ($1.38m) public grant from Innovate UK to develop a sodium-ion mobile solar power station in sub-Saharan Africa, Kallanish reports. The project is set to start in October and run for two years. It consists in the development of a commercial energy storage unit using Faradion’s sodium-ion battery technology.
