UK police test Model 3 BEV ahead of ICE ban
The UK Police has started a trial service with Tesla on a police-liveried Model 3, ahead of the country’s ban on combustion engines in 2030, Kallanish notes.
The trial programme reported by local media involves the “performance version” of the Model 3 battery electric vehicle, which can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds. The BEV promises a range of 350 miles, with a limit top speed of 162 mph.
