UK-based WEB sells 49-MW BESS to TotalEnergies
UK-based power producer West Burton Energy (WEB) is selling a 49-megawatt battery energy storage system (BESS) in Nottinghamshire, England to TotalEnergies, Kallanish reports.
The £450 million ($575m) deal announced on Wednesdays also includes the operational West Burton natural gas-fired power plant, with capacity of 1.33 gigawatts. Completion of the combined transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
