Traton Group picks batteries as future fuel of choice
German commercial vehicle manufacturer Traton Group said on Monday that batteries will be the preferred alternative fuel for its future portfolio - not hydrogen, Kallanish reports.
Company ceo Matthias Gründler said that “it’s not true” that hydrogen is the best fuel of choice for long haul transportation, while electric trucks are for short-haul applications.
