TotalEnergies starts operation in Texas battery storage project
French energy group TotalEnergies has started commercial operations at an integrated solar and battery storage project in Texas, US, Kallanish reports.
The 380-megawatt utility-scale solar farm relied on 225 megawatt-hours of battery energy storage capacity to store renewable energy and provide grid stabilisation. The 114 high-tech energy storage systems containers were designed and assembled by Saft, the battery subsidiary of TotalEnergies.
