Tesla’s stock volatility, scrutiny increases with S&P 500 debut
Tesla’s debut to the S&P 500 index on Monday was marked by volatility and could be the beginning of a new era of scrutiny, according to GLJ Research’s ceo, Gordon Johnson.
The stock opened at $666.24 – down 4.1% from Friday’s record close of $695. Within the first 10 minutes as a S&P 500 company, Tesla shares were trading with a range of $657.52 (down 5.4%) to $668.50 (up 3.8%).
