Tesla to focus on battery cell production in Austin, before Berlin: report
Tesla’s Giga Berlin isn’t likely to start mass production of battery cells before 2024, according to German business newspaper Handelsblatt.
Citing unnamed sources close to the company, the report said the carmaker has run into a “significant delay” in a highly complex production process. It says that despite having successfully tested its dry coating of electrodes technique, the company is yet to implement large-scale production.
