Teck Resources trims annual copper production guidance
Canadian miner Teck Resources has cut its annual copper production guidance due to short-term access issues at the Quebrada Blanca mine in Chile.
Full-year copper production is expected to come in at 435,000-500,000 tonnes from 465,000-540,000 t previously announced due to lower production at the mine.
This means costs will be higher at CAD 2.25-2.55 ($1.63-1.85) per pound compared to previous estimates of CAD 1.95-2.25/lb, Kallanish understands.
