Talen plans 1 GW of new fixed storage capacity
North American power generator Talen Energy plans to develop a total of one gigawatt of battery storage capacity as part of its “transformation to a renewable energy and digital infrastructure growth platform,” the company says.
The capacity will be spread across projects in three states, ranging in individual size from 20-300 megawatts. Development is slated to take place over 3-5 years.
