Svolt to launch cobalt-free battery cells by mid-2021
Chinese battery cell manufacturer Svolt plans to be the first company to bring cobalt-free nickel manganese battery cell chemistry to mass production readiness.
The company said in a statement this week it could install the first of these cells in vehicles as early as mid-2021, targeting the mid-range volume market, Kallanish reports.
