Solid-state battery market to reach $7 billion by 2030
Solid state batteries could become a $7 billion market by 2030 as new chemistries involving organic polymers shift some focus away from the lithium-ion standard, according to a report by IDTechX.
Solid-state batteries operate on more flexible levels of scale than traditional lithium-ion options, the report states. They were originally spearheaded by the medical profession for use in artificial pacemakers.
