SK On to cut costs, improve efficiency amid weak EV sales
South Korean battery company SK On is reportedly performing a series of cost-cutting and working-practice measures under a so-called “state of emergency.”
The management decision comes on the back of slower EV sales in Europe and the US, where the battery maker has been investing to expand capacity. It follows 10 consecutive quarters of losses since it was spun off in 2021.
