SILICON: US finds evidence of silicon subsidies from Kazakhstan
The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily found evidence of subsidies on imports of silicon metal from Kazakhstan, Kallanish reports.
The subsidies total 120%. The petitioners in the case were Globe Specialty Metals and Mississippi Silicon.
In 2019 - the year under review - the US imported $14.9 million in silicon metal from Kazakhstan.
