SILICON: US assigns anti-dumping duties to Malaysian silicon metal imports

US silicon metal producers are cheering a decision by the US Department of Commerce to assign preliminary duties on silicon metal imported from Malaysia, Kallanish reports.  The anti-dumping duties will total 7.41%, according to domestic producers Globe Specialty Metals and Mississippi Silicon.  The US has already assigned duties of 120% to silicon metal imports from Kazakhstan and duties of up to 47.54% on material from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Icela…
