Schlumberger, EnerVenue partner on metal-hydrogen energy storage
Schlumberger New Energy said Wednesday it is partnering with California-based EnerVenue to develop metal-hydrogen stationary energy storage solutions, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed investment in EnerVenue will grant the company access to the fast-growing fixed storage market through differentiated technology. That’s because the battery technology combines nickel and hydrogen, as an alternative to lithium-ion battery storage systems.
