Russia not willing to extend zero tariff on EV imports
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will not support an initiative to extend duty-free status to imports of electric vehicles (EV) to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which was discussed at a meeting of the council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on 29 October.
Zero import duty on electric vehicles is valid until the end of this year. Earlier Belarus proposed to extend it until the end of 2023.
