RARE EARTH: Prices continue to increase on tight supply
Rare earth prices recently hit a record high, according to the Association of China Rare Earth Industry (ACREI).
On 15 February, the price index of rare earth registered 426.8, a new record high.
As indicated by Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), the rise in the domestic rare earth index was mainly triggered by a sharp increase in the spot prices of certain rare earth products, such as the ones in the praseodymium and neodymium series.
