COPPER: Peru remains China's second-largest copper supplier
Peru was the second-largest copper supplier to China in 2020, while the Asian country remains the main destination of its exports of this product. So says Peru’s Minister of energy and mines (Minem), Jaime Gálvez Delgado, during the annual Peruvian-Chinese chamber of commerce (Capechi) forum monitored by Kallanish.
Trade ties between the countries strengthen both mining and Asian investment in Peru, Delgado says.
