Pentagon backs rare earth processing in Texas, California
The US military has backed two projects that aim to process rare earth elements in the US, according to company press releases.
Australia’s Lynas Corporation will use the funds to “complete a detailed market and strategy study, plus detailing planning and design work for the construction” of a heavy rare earth separation facility in Texas.
