PCC Hydrogen to build pilot ethanol-to-hydrogen plant in Indiana
Kentucky-based PCC Hydrogen Inc plans to build a pilot plant to produce “negative carbon” hydrogen from ethanol in Cloverdale, Indiana, Kallanish reports.
PCC’s plant will use an electrolyser system and a catalytic adiabatic reactor to convert ethanol into “high purity, negative carbon index green hydrogen”. It will also capture CO2 by-product, the company claims in a statement on Tuesday.
