Ørsted makes final investment in renewable hydrogen pilot
Ørsted, the world’s largest wind power producer, has given the go-ahead to its first investment in renewable hydrogen, Kallanish learns from the company.
The firm says its offshore-wind-to-hydrogen demonstration project will produce 1 tonne of green hydrogen per day to fuel transport in Greater Copenhagen and on Zealand. First hydrogen is expected in late 2021 and should power around 30 buses daily.
