NICKEL, COPPER: Nornickel's production to fall short of 2021 guidance
Russia’s miner Nornickel expects its metal production volumes falling short of its 2021 guidance, taking a hit of 35,000 tonnes for nickel and 65,000 t for copper.
Last month Nornickel partially halted production at its Oktyabrsky and Taimyrsky mines due to flooding. Operations have also been impacted by an accident at the Norilsk Concentrator.
The company plans to restore full capacity at its Oktyabrsky and Taimyrsky mines within the next 3-4 months.…
