Ningbo Shanshan announces Li-ion battery material project
China’s Ningbo Shanshan Co. is planning to launch a new lithium-ion battery anode material plant in Meishan city in southwest China’s Sichuan province. This will be carried out by its subsidiary Shanghai Shanshan, Kallanish learns from a security filing.
The project will require CNY 8 billion ($1.24 billion) in investment and have a design capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year. It will be constructed in two phases, which will share the capacity equally.
