NICKEL, COPPER: Russia’s nickel, copper exports up in 2020
Russian nickel and copper shipments appear to have increased in 2020, according to the country’s latest federal customs data monitored by Kallanish.
Exports of unprocessed nickel increased last year by 1% year-on-year to 135,500 tonnes. In monetary terms, shipments were 1.2% higher at $1.86 million.
Twelve-month exports of unprocessed copper amounted to 775,800 t, up by 10.4% y-o-y. In monetary terms, the indicators were 12.2% higher at $4.6m.
