NICKEL, COBALT, PLATINUM: Waterton to sell Dumont project in Quebec
Canada-based Waterton Global Resource Management is planning to sell its Dumont nickel-cobalt-platinum project in Quebec, perhaps raising as much as CAD 1 billion ($825.4m), Kallanish has learned.
The Goldman Sachs Group has been hired to manage the planned auction that would enable Waterton to take advantage of high nickel-cobalt prices and growing demand for electric vehicle batteries, Bloomberg News reports.
