NICKEL, COBALT: Belgian company recovers lost mining robot
Belgium's Global Sea Mineral Resources has resumed deep-sea tests for mining battery materials in the Pacific Ocean after recovering a lost mining robot, Kallanish reports.
Global Sea Mineral Resources successfully recovered the lost Patania II, a 25-tonne mining robot prototype, from a depth of about 4,500 metres in the Pacific Ocean’s Clarion-Clipperton Zone, according to Reuters.
