NICKEL: BNEF expects nickel oversupply to shrink 30% this year
Global nickel oversupply is expected to narrow this year, shrinking by 30%, BloombergNEF said on Monday.
According to BNEF analyst Allan Restauro total nickel supply is set to increase by 12% year-on-year, but battery demand is forecast to grow by 65% this year. This will result “in a 30% smaller surplus in nickel than what BNEF estimated for 2020,” he adds.
