New company to develop 500 MW battery storage in Texas
A newly formed energy company says it plans to develop 500 megawatts of distribution-level battery storage capacity in Texas, Kallanish reports.
The new venture involves Dallas-based Hunt Energy Network and partner Toronto-based Manulife Investment Management. They have formed HEN Infrastructure LLC, which intends to develop and manage the battery storage within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
