Montpellier abandons hydrogen bus project for electric mobility
The Metropole of Montpellier in southern France is shifting focus from hydrogen buses to electric transit, Kallanish reports.
It is abandoning its hydrogen mobility project Montpellier Horizon Hydrogène (MH2), which involved a €29 million ($32m) investment for 51 hydrogen buses by 2025. The new administration has chosen to invest in the electrification of its tramway and bus network instead, the metropole confirms to Kallanish.
