Mitra Chem begins shipping LMFP CAM samples
US start-up Mitra Chem has begun shipping out cathode active materials (CAM) samples produced at its research and development facility in Mountain View, California.
According to the company, multiple commercial-grade lithium-manganese-iron phosphate (LMFP) CAM samples have now been shipped to EV and battery cell manufacturers. Rather than using nickel or cobalt, which can raise CAM costs, the company instead focuses on iron-based cathodes.
