Minnesota to review nickel-copper mining rules near BWCAW
A Minnesota agency intends to review the adequacy of the state’s copper-nickel mining rules near the sprawling Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Kallanish reports.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will conduct that review, after an agreement was reached with an environmental group that had sued to better protect the paddling wilderness in northeast Minnesota, the Duluth News Tribune newspaper says.
