Michigan cuts incentives to Ford to match revised EV plans
The US state of Michigan has cut incentives to Ford after the carmaker pared back output expectations at a planned EV facility.
The company is building an electric vehicle ecosystem called BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, located in Marshall, Calhoun County.
In November, it announced a change in plans, scaling back battery production from 35 gigawatt-hours to 20 GWh, creating 1,700 jobs rather than 2,500 as initially estimated.
