Meritor to produce electric drivetrains, names three big new customers
US drivetrain producer Meritor will begin commercial, medium- and heavy-duty electric powertrain production by mid-year, and it’s already secured a number of customers, Kallanish learns from several company releases.
Dubbed the 14Xe, Meritor’s new drivetrain system will be produced by mid-2021 in its Asheville and Forest City, North Carolina facilities.
New clients include Lion Electric, Volta Trucks, and Autocar Trucks.
