Mercedes, Geely create automotive joint venture
German auto producer Mercedes-Benz and Chinese producer Zhejiang Geely Holding Group are forming a joint venture dubbed “smart Automobile Co, Ltd,” Kallanish reports.
The estimated registered capital of the JV will be RMB 5.4 billion ($835 million), split equally between the two companies. The headquarters will be located in Hanzhou Bay.
