COBALT, LITHIUM: Mercedes-Benz sets ‘strong’ standards on battery metals sourcing
Mercedes-Benz is tackling human rights and environment violations in the supply chains for its electric vehicle fleet, pledging to only source certified lithium and cobalt in the future, Kallanish reports.
The German giant says it’s fulfilling its responsibility as part of the sustainability offensive, where “respect and protection of human rights and of the environment have the highest priority.”
