Mercedes-Benz do Brasil to produce Latin America’s first fully electric city bus
Mercedes-Benz do Brasil will launch the first fully electric city bus in Latin America, with production set to start next year, Kallanish learns from parent company Daimler.
The eO500U bus chassis will be produced at the São Bernardo do Campo manufacturing plant, in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. The battery-powered city bus has a range of up to 250 kilometres, can fully charge in 3 hours and carry up to 86 passengers.
