Marathon, TC Energy scrap $2.2 billion H2 project
US oil and gas company Marathon Petroleum (MPC) and pipeline developer TC Energy have scrapped a $2.2 billion blue hydrogen project in the US state of North Dakota.
Prairie Horizon Hydrogen (PHH) would have been part of the Heartland Hydrogen Hub, one of the regional clean hydrogen hubs supported by $7 billion in federal funds.
