London launches England’s first H2-powered double-decker bus fleet
Wrightbus has delivered its second fleet of hydrogen-powered double-decker buses in the UK to London, following the inaugural fleet in Aberdeen, Scotland, in January this year.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said the 20-bus fleet is another major step towards making the bus fleet zero-emission and cleaning up the city’s toxic air. The new fuel cell buses are joining a fleet of 500 electric buses – one of the largest in Western Europe.
