Lockheed Martin to develop flow battery pilot project in Alberta
Lockheed Martin says it is investing $9 million toward TC Energy’s developing Saddlebrook solar + storage project in Alberta, Kallanish reports.
The money will be used to construct a hybrid power plant consisting of a utility-scale solar project and a long-duration Lockheed Martin flow battery energy storage system with output duration of up to eight hours.
