LKAB to process REE in Lulea
Swedish mining company LKAB has chosen Luleå for a circular industrial park for phosphorus and rare earth elements (REE) that are needed for sustainable agriculture and the green transition, the company says.
LKAB is now initiating consultation on the establishment, which will be operational in 2027 and can entail investments amounting to as much as KR 10 billion ($995 million), Kallanish notes.
