Livent assesses damage, operation impacts as fire is contained
US lithium chemical manufacturer Livent says its personnel is assessing the damage caused by a fire at its Bessemer City facility and working to mitigate any potential impacts on operations, Kallanish reports.
In an update statement, the company said no toxic chemicals or compounds were on fire or released. “Air monitoring tests conducted by the responding team did not show abnormal readings at the site or areas downwind from the facility,” it added.
