LITHIUM: Sorcia Minerals acquiring lithium rights at Salar de Maricunga
Sorcia Chile, a subsidiary of US-based Sorcia Minerals LLC, has reached an agreement to exploit lithium on more than 2,000 hectares in the Salar de Maricunga in Chile’s Atacama region, Kallanish reports.
The agreement is with RJR Salar. The salar is located about 160 kilometres northeast of Copiapo, Chile. The salt flats cover about 145 square km and are the southernmost salt flats in Chile.
