LITHIUM: Research team discovers giant lithium mine in Himalayas
The Institute of Geology and Geophysics (Chinese Academy of Sciences) reports that its scientific expedition and research team focusing on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region has discovered a giant high-grade lithium ore deposit (spodumene pegmatite type) in the Qongjianggang (Qiongjiagang in Chinese) Area of the Himalayas.
It is expected to be comparable to the Ganzi Jiajika mining area of Sichuan Province in terms of lithium resource storage.
